The Lord truly blessed the Saints with the birth of Pastor Kevin Hope on May 29, 1971, in San Leandro, CA. Pastor Hope received his salvation in 1993 at the ripe age of 22. He married his lovely wife, Lori, on April 28, 1994. They have six children and one grandson and reside in Brentwood, CA.

In 1995, while a member of Greater Galilee C.O.G.I.C. in Oakland, CA, he answered God’s call to preach His Word. Here is where he preached his first sermon entitled “Just in Case”. He went on to become the Youth Pastor.

Pastor Hope was licensed as a Minister in 1997 and ordained as an Elder in 2001 by the late Bishop Lafar Johnson. It was at this time that the Lord called Pastor Hope to join Acts Full Gospel C.O.G.I.C in Oakland, CA, under the leadership of Bishop Bob Jackson, with a membership exceeding 6000 members.

Pastor Hope’s ministry focus has been to assist God’s people in understanding their value as a child of God and in guiding them in their day-to-day struggles. His profound understanding of God’s word combined with his powerful and invigorating style of delivering a message has afforded him opportunities to preach and teach in a multitude of churches and at various church events and conferences.

While at Acts Full Gospel, Pastor Hope was an active member of the SWAT (Soul Winning Across Town) team, which taught other ministries how to win souls to the Lord Jesus Christ by going door-to-door to share the good news. He also preached services in Bishop Bob’s absence, taught Sunday School classes, ministered to the Singles Ministry, and served as an Evangelist. In 2002, Pastor Hope went on to receive his certification as a Trained Spiritual Leader from the Charles Harrison Mason Bible College.

In 2006, the Lord called him to Pastor Greater Galilee Church of God in Christ. During his time at Greater Galilee, Pastor Hope implemented the SWAT ministry and feeding and clothing ministries which was so desperately needed by the community.

Pastor Hope continued his education and, in 2008, received his Bachelors of Art degree in Christian Education.

After pastoring at Greater Galilee, Pastor Hope returned to Acts Full Gospel in 2010. In 2012, he was appointed by Bishop Bob as the Assistant Pastor.

In that role, he became the Director of Ministries which oversaw 33 ministries (including the Deacons Board, Security, and Ministers in Training, to name a few). He also took on the Chaplaincy which covered the teams that would visit those incarcerated at the Santa Rita Jail and in the juvenile hall. Lastly, he was appointed to preach at the Sunday Night services taking the attendance from about 50 attendees to 500.

To further his education, in 2013 he attended East Bay Theological Seminary, where he earned his Doctorate of Theology.

In 2018, the Lord Blessed Pastor Hope with his own church, Acts Full Gospel, East County, The Landing Place, which was located in Brentwood, California. The Lord’s Blessing was immediately recognized as the membership grew almost instantly. Truly the Lord has a plan.

In 2019, Pastor Hope’s calling lead him to open a second church in East Oakland, where he extended his church to a second campus, that church is called “ The Landing Place”, located at 1000 82nd Ave. The Landing Place was immediately well received by the community where the congregation grew with with members that absolutely love the Lord, and God’s Divine Word.

However, the Lord wasn’t done. After sharing a church in Brentwood for less than a year, and opening the Oakland Church, the Lord Blessed Pastor Hope’s ministry with their own church which was purchased in 2019, at 620 East Tregallas Road, Antioch, California. The official opening of that church was January 8th, 2019.

Pastor Hope currently has scheduled services every Sunday morning in Antioch at 11am and bible study on Tuesday evening’s in Antioch at 7pm.

The Holy Spirit uses Pastor Hope eloquently to deliver a resilient message that impacts everyone (saved or unsaved) under the sound of his voice. Many are challenged to renew their hearts and minds; repent, and turn their lives over to the Lord Jesus Christ. He adamantly believes in Sound Doctrine and the 4 Pillars of his church, Fellowship, Unity, Integrity, and Purity.

He offers an open door to both of his churches to anyone and everyone that needs a “Place to Land”, whether looking for a new permanent church, or just a place to stop and refuel until that individual recognizes what the Lord’s plan is for their life.
